Government-issued ID
Social Security cards for you + dependents
W-2s from all employers
1099 forms (gig work, unemployment, interest, retirement, etc.)
Last year’s tax return (if available)
Childcare expenses + provider info
School tuition forms (1098-T)
Medical expenses (if itemizing)
Mortgage interest (1098) + property taxes
Donations + charitable receipts
Bank account info for direct deposit
